Where to buy spare parts ?

Any recommendations as to a decent place to buy parts for cars ? I'm after a rear wiper arm. I usually use CarParts4Less, who I can't fault. But both that site, and its sister site EuroCarParts, are out of stock, and when I asked them they said it's not likely to be back in stock any time soon.

I resent paying the inflated prices at main dealers, so can anyone recommend an alternative site that's trustworthy ? Thanks in advance.

Do you mean the entire ARM, rather than just the blade? It's not exactly a high-volume part, so I'm not surprised the big online factors don't stock/list it.

I'd be looking for similar cars being broken on the 'bay or any of the scrappy network sites.

Thanks folks. Yes, it's the actual arm I need. I'll try breakers yards and GSF as suggested

    Try EuroParts:

    http://www.europarts-motorfactors.com/

Note that this is NOT eurocarparts - but many browsers will try to redirect you to ECP.

I've used EuroParts many times - they are especially cheap for Mahle filters.

Seconded. I used them a while ago on Iceweasel's recommendation, and they were good (price and delivery time). Would use again.

I don't know what Tesco you shop at, but I've never seen wiper arms on the shelf at any of the ones I've visited.

    Blades, on the other hand...

I understood what he meant - I don't think he's talking about getting one off the shelves .........

Have you actually checked the main dealer price? I needed a new Passat rear arm and the dealer was cheaper than Ebay and obviously a quality part.

If no good then Ebay is always an option

I'd recommend a breakers yard at Roche, Cornwall. I've been there, I've used them. It's all wholly legit, organised, legal and safe.

They do online ordering, they have an ebay site, they have a website.

    http://www.combellack.co.uk/

In short, they're not a dodgy lot of chancers... it's a proper/legal/legit business that operates 100% properly.

If you look down their home page there's a bit where you enter your registration number and they list all/any parts they have that will fit your car - so you don't even have to go "hunting" for it.
