No claims & joining partner's insurance

I'm totally naive to this sort of area, and can't seem to google the situation clearly enough, so I thought I'd check in with you lot.
Partner: Has car, insurance and driven solidly for 8 years.
Me: Drove 2003-2008, no claims, but then stopped driving and insuring myself until now when I want to be added to partner's insurance.
Simply put, I assume that my 'no claims' won't have carried on between 2008 and now as I haven't been insured, but what sort of effect would I have on her insurance? I can't seem to work out if I'll be deemed as a 'risk' or if I'm more of a safe bet.
Hope that was clear, happy to answer supplementary questions

your no claims bonus accrued will not long be valid, usually 2 years is the maximum time you can't drive before it resets back to 0.
You can try dummy quotes with a different name to see the difference with just yourself and then you added on to your partner's insurance"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

You don't have current NCB but probably won't be asked that anyway. You will be asked if you have had any claims/accidents etc in the last 3 or 5 years and presumably can answer 'no'. You will seem like a good risk.Simply put, I assume that my 'no claims' won't have carried on between 2008 and now as I haven't been insured, but what sort of effect would I have on her insurance? Hi just wanted to say I have just had a quote on my car insurance from Bewise insurance and it started at £145 I had the details through and relished I had put the wrong start date on ie 29th April I phoned them and told them I wanted it to start on that day 10th April and it jumped up £100 I was shocked they then said they could do it at an extra £50 I had no choice to pay it as I had to drive the car for mot that day, so the first thing is before your insurance expires arrange it to start 4 weeks prior to expiring. However I sent the proof of no claims from my previous insurance and they wouldn't accept it as it expired last September this is when I sold the car I then emailed the another proof of no claims that I have on another car and they won't accept that either because it was a current insurance so I am at a loss and they want to charge me another £100 so the quote which started at £145 is now £345. Needless to say I have told them to cancel the policy and give me all my money back.....0

Create your own thread, you are hijacking someone elses and your entry does not help the OP. Seems you didn't read the T+Cs regarding charges and you were charged correctly for putting wrong date on"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"
