I got a free Yamaha keyboard from freecycle for dd who has just started to play the keyboard. I advertised for it and got a lovely one.
Dd also brought home a k mix coffee maker from work as they were getting rid of it so I'm delighted with that and not free but 10p went to the garden centre with dh and got a selection of 6 veg plants for 10p instead of £9.99. They've been planted, watered and fed and hopefully will perk up

btw, I too collect bubblewrap from the supermarkets and got several large sheets today I pass them on to my local CS

I spotted some elderflowers I will go and pick some tomorrow to make elderflower cordial.

I love FREE. Yesterday I got 15 paving slabs, two pallets, and 3 x 9 ft lengths of wood. I love skip diving.

I was on the verge the other day and had to have a word with myself. It is technically theft and I was pleased my brain kicked in before I took the item that caught my eye (a £1 hessian shopping bag). I suppose I could have knocked on the door and asked for permission, but the reality of what I was considering doing surfaced fast, and the shame I felt was immense

I always ask. I feel no shame about asking for something that is being thrown away. I don't care what people think about me. I even rescue things that I don't need, and pass them on to someone else who does need it, or donate it to a charity shop.

PS. I went back today and got more paving slabs, he said there would be more. Total of 26, I will use them to make a patio around my home made summer house.
