TV Aerials

We had a chap around about 3 years ago who replaced our TV aerial and also added another socket in the kitchen. The socket in the kitchen started to get an unwatchable bad picture about 6 months ago which seemed to come and go.
Last month we bought a new digital TV for the living room and another for the kids room so we got the same chap back to fit a new socket in 2 of the kids rooms and fix the kitchen socket. At the same time he also fitted a booster box. He was unable to fix the kitchen socket which was strange as he installed it himself! and said he may have to run a new cable. We werent fussed as the kitchen is due to be gutted out soon so we paid him another £150 for the 2 new sockets and booster and he left.
Since then the TV in the kids room is temperamental when watching freeview and the picture in the living room which there was nothing wrong with before! is playing up.
Both the kitchen and kids room sockets which he installed go directly into the aerial which again he installed! I dont think we have any rodents or birds muching the cables so Im at a loss as to why this is happening. I was hoping that someone reading this may be able to indicate what is wrong before I tackle the chap on it.
Also where do you think I stand with regards payment. Should I demand he gets everything working as it should be, at his cost, as all Ive ever asked him for is decent pictures on my TVs and I have had all the work done which he has suggested.
Any advice on the technical side would be greatfully appeciated and will mean Im armed with the information before I tackle him on the payment side.

Only 1 aerial. TV in front froom runs directly from that but uses the old cabling, TV in the kitchen runs directly to the aerial using new cabling as does the 2 new sockets in the kids room, we also have another TV in our room which uses the old cabling so 5 TVs in total 2 of which are using the old cabling. The new amp which he installed is in one of the kids rooms. I also think he put a booster is the loft when he installed the aerial originally. You killed me scooter!!0 -
too many variables to say what the problem is, but best quality cable is a must.
and a decent aerial per tv is better than any booster etc...
ive seen and used the cheap tv wall sockets/splitters etc and they really are rubbish. TV signals must have a good screening system, this includes the cable and the connectors.Get some gorm.0 -
Thanks for your help chaps. At least now Im armed with a bit of information and he wont be able to flannel me.You killed me scooter!!0
