    No - that's not remotely what she said.

    She said that CIFAS (not a bank) is not willing to accept a particular bank statement as proof of identity because they say it is a copy (not that it's fraudulent).

    She claims to have no idea why her bank closed her account.

    She does claim that. Whether she's skirting around that point or not is irrelevant.

    FWIW I'm not buying the whole "bank closing an account because of a lost card" nor am I buying the OP flying home to visit a branch.

    Completely implausible.

    I have read the posts, and no, it doesn't explicitly say that. Saying that she doesn't know what happened is not the same at all.

    This, to me, is strange. If I'd had an account frozen and was asking for help I'd state clearly, front and centre that "I've operated this account as per normal for a current account, and there's no reason that I can think of as to why it would be frozen."
