PPI consumer claims plz help

In 2013 I was contacted by these guys and made a claim, I was told I was successful in winning, then they contacted me for payment but I said I would pay after payment was awarded. They said cheque was sent out by Barclays, I never received it, they instructed me to chase them, which I did and was told that I was not entitled to any award and nothing was made. I went back to them told them and then they asked for it in writing so off I went back to Barclays and got it in writing and sent it too them, never head anything so thought it was resolved but then today after 4 years I get a text to call Wilson Rose who inform me they are chasing payment and been trying to get hold of me since 2015. I was thinking this might be a scam, they have threatened court proceedings, can anybody help clear this mess up? Where do I stand? John

You employed the claims company. So, why are they telling you to do everything?
, they have threatened court proceedings

Let them threaten you. If they decide to go to court, they have to provide evidence in advance of the court hearing which you are supplied copies of. as well as their reasons for demanding the money. You get a chance to put your case and evidence in advance of the hearing and a judge will decide whether to hear the case or throw it out.

You are not required to pay anything. However, it may be worth contacting Barclays again asking for another copy of that letter if you no longer have it yourself. Do that now as it may take them some time get it.
