    Could it be that the OP (or an earlier occupier) has changed the lock to the communal area and 'colonised' part of the landlord's demise.

    The managing agent has instructions from the landlord to correct this situation.

    Meanwhile the OP has got used to this area being treated as if it were within their demise and sees this process as a 'break-in' to an area they consider to be theirs.

    Just a guess but without clear facts it in impossible to know. A diagram would be helpful.

    I read this as the OP being a leaseholder (owner) and has got together with the other leaseholders to take over the management of the building from the managing agent.

    this is the from the Lease ' the Landord demises unto the tenant the ground floor flat forming part of the building TOGETHER WITH the footsteps leading from Q Road , the front door and doorway and the hallway of the building all which premises are known or intended to be known as Flat B . The Lease above has the same. It is not a communal area it is a. 2 mtr x 1 mtr hallway with 2 doors which make up the private flats.

    Have you responded to the previous email quoting this part of the lease?
  • Yes I did but they sent that same response and I havent heard further so I read that as they won't enter into anymore correspondance about it.

    I think then, that you need to be there at the time they are threatening to break in, maybe speak to the police ahead of the time about a possible breach of the peace due to their stated intent to trespass and ask if someone can attend?

    Have they actually said why they want to change the locks though?
