Parking Eye Parking Fine

Hi Forum Members
Just looking for a little bit of advice so that I can be forewarned/forearmed, Arval the hire company my car is with have emailed me about a parking contravention through the organisation Parking Eye, this was in a layby outside the entrance to the hospital, I believe that if you exceed 20 minutes you may be liable to a fine. Arval have passed my details onto the firm so that they can issue me with a fine.
At the time my girlfriend who is a specialist organ donation nurse was on duty and was taking a referral over the phone inside the car at the layby. My question is at this stage should I\We contact the hospital parking services section and dispute it with them first before we receive the notice?
Kindest Regards
Paul

not true at all !!
PRIVATE EYE is a magazine edited and run by Ian Hislop , who is also on HIGNFY on BBC1 on fridays !! lol
also , no private company can issue a FINE , but they can issue an INVOICE
so PARKING EYE have issued the INVOICE to ARVAL, who have correctly identified the hirer/keeper/lessee of the vehicle so that that person can receive an INVOICE in their own name
wait for that INVOICE to arrive and then complain to the HR dept at the hospital and insist on a cancellation , using the PCN number on the new INVOICE
if they fail to cancel it within 21 to 24 days of the date on the invoice , use the PE website and use the blue text template from the NEWBIES sticky thread0 -
Great thanks0

Some of the regulars here put quite a bit of effort into helping you with your Northern Parking Services parking charge, yet you never came back to say how (if) it ended. What happened? Did you pay it?It does help to know if the advice we have given has worked.
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5461461Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
