Estate agent fees

Options
Hi, just wondered if anyone could offer any advice on this. We have just sold our house with Burchell Edwards and believe we have been seriously ripped off. We have since found out from a local solicitors that they have to deal with alot of complaints regarding this estate agents. Is there any way to reclaim some of the £3000 they in effect 'stole' from us?

Thanks

If you entered into a contract to pay them £3000 to sell your house (or probably more likely a percentage of the selling price plus VAT) then they have not stolen from you... you could have used a different estate agent after all...

Ditto what the last poster said.
Unless they have deviated from the contract you signed, you've not been ripped off.

Why do you think you have been ripped off and stolen from? Did you not agree the fees prior to putting your house up for sale with them?

The fact you have paid the fees would imply the house has sold, so not really sure why you are feeling you have been ripped off?
