Kitchen flooring not fit for purpose

Hello looking for some advice, I have recently had the whole of my house fitted with new carpets and lvt planks. The quote was for the full house. I am happy with the carpets, but the very expensive lvt tiles have started to separate at the ends and have already scratched quite badly. The retailer came out to the property before purchase and advised that these lvt tile would be perfect for a family kitchen and dining area. However, I would not expect it to scratch quite so badly - the tile colour is dark brown and the scratches show up as white, we have put pads under all of our chairs and the table. The relatable has sent out fitters 5 times now to try and fix the problem, including replacing some of the tiles/planks. I had paid £7000 of the £9000 total cost, but the retailer are now asking for the final amount. I am not happy to pay as I do not belief either that the floor is fit for purpose. Can anyone advise me of my consumer rights. Many thanks.

How did you pay? If by credit card, you may also have additional rights under Section 75.

What has caused the scratches? Something like Amtico is hardwearing, but scratches easily if you have grit on the soles of your shoes or if you pull a chair without felt pads over it. Consumer rights only apply if the item is faulty, so it is important for you to be clear about how the scratches were caused.
