Anyone managed to get 3 Tesco Credit Cards?

I don't actually want 3.

I currently have 2 Tesco Credit Cards, one on a 0% for 42 Months which i don't spend on at all and has a transferred balance on. The 2nd is one i do most of my spending through to boost my club card points. The 2nd one i would like to change the type of credit card as Tesco offer about 6 or 7. The problem is you cannot change the type of card (at least thats what Tesco said when i called them), you have to cancel it and then re-apply for the card you want.

Now i am worried to do this, because there is always a chance i could get rejected when re-applying leaving me with no Tesco card for spending on, i don't want to touch the 0% balance transfer one.

Now on the Apply button it says under the criteria 'You don’t currently hold more than one Tesco Bank Credit Card or have a Tesco Premium Credit Card'

But i was wondering is this a lie? and has anybody ever managed to get 3? Because their next criteria i know is a lie 'You have not applied for a Tesco Bank Credit Card in the last month' as i applied for my second card 18 days after the first and it was accepted.

You can't have more than 2.
  • You have to cancel one and apply again I think..

I had a long conversation about this with the man on the phone. He said what you can do is transfer the credit limits across and then cancel the lower card and then if accepted for another tesco credit card you can transfer the credit limit to the new card. (That's if your worried you won't get a high enough credit limit which was my concern)

I've not done this yet but will be looking to do this when I max out my current 0% card...

AFAIK you can't hold more than two Tesco Bank credit cards.

I closed my Foundation card earlier on this year and an email from them says I have to wait for six months before applying for another credit card with them again.
It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.
