0% transfer offers

Hi
Does anyone know if the 0% balance transfer offers you get from existing credit card accounts are negotiable?
I'll need to move £1000 or so soon, I don't want to take out another credit card. Most of the offers you get on existing cards are 0% for 10 months or so. If I phoned them would they offer a longer term?

Usually they are fixed computer generated offers

10 to 12 months was what I was getting on my virgin and Barclaycard


I think credit card companies are prob the worst for retentions at the mo, I have cancelled 3 cards in the last two years, and not a single one challenged me cancelling, apart from barcalcard, but they couldn't offer more than 12 months 0%, but I just got back with them after a year, and got 25 months 0% on transfers and purchases


they had the best fee for transfers,


there is so much competition out there, I just think they don't care about keeping customers,


but im happy shifting around

They just can't afford to keep making a loss on the same customer.
