Curtain/ fly screen

I'm hopeful of some advice with how to hang this curtain for my front door.

The doorway is far too high for anyone to put up / take down the curtain each day. The other 'problem' is that there isn't any space either side of the doorway to pull the curtain when not in use.
Someone suggested a curved track which takes the curtain to the right of the door onto the side wall - would this be the best solution?
I'm on a farm so there are loads of flies around (cows and sheep) but I really enjoy having the doors open whenever possible, especially as lovely days are not too frequent here.
I'd appreciate some thoughts on this please.

I'd use this curtain wire, with hook and eyes screwed into the wood above your door frame. I can't imagine that curtain is very heavy so should hold it ok.
We have similar curtain on our upvc door but I use velcro to hold it up. It's on the outside and the strip stays up all year round, then in the summer I just get the curtain out and stick it back up. (We're the same, country and loads of flies).
*Oh just realised you don't want it up all the time. It might still be ok as would still slide along and tuck behind the door when opened, as it's not a very thick curtain. Or, as we do, put it on the outside so it can stay up all summer. Ours has lasted us 2 summers and is still fine for this year again.0 -

Thanks for your help. Will have a look at the wire option. The curtain can't stay on the outside all summer as 1) the wind off the sea would have it in shreds within days and 2) it would impede getting in and out of the front door. And the farmhouse is listed so someone's bound to be offended (thinking the council especially!)

Why not something like below instead, that way when door is open good airflow but no insects yet still easy to walk through as it snaps back straight away.Even if you needed a stronger fixing a quality velcro would do the job.

Rising Portiere rod?63 mortgage payments to go.
Zero wins 2016 😥0 -
That's the one we have, lol.
The velcro that comes with it is really strong. Ours has lasted 2 years and we have a cat and dog barging through it.0 -
Rising Portiere rod?
Don't think that'll work as I need the net /bead curtain to remain in front of the doorway to stop insects.
I've now ordered the curtain and a tension rod cheap enough) to see if I'm able to lift it over the door and back without too much trouble or getting the stepladders in from the barn each time.
Thanks for suggestions.0 -

Nice one, but it doesn't get past my problem of what to do with it when I want to close the door. It's not practical to put it up and takecit down each time.
Thanks for offering the suggestion, I do appreciate it.0 -

No Problem:) I was just thinking that as it is a nylon material it can be put up on the outside of your door frame with DS sticky velcro so having the door open or closed would not effect and would not need to be taken downbut if you have found another answer to the problem so much the better:)
