we need to fix a piece of plasterboard to house bricks (only a small piece probably 6"wide by 6' long - this 'dot & dab business - will it be suitable & what is the adhesive called & where's the best place to get it - thank you

It's a plasterboard adhesive. All DIY selling plasterboard will sale the "dot & dab" mix (sld as dry powder)0

think theres 2 types, ask at wickes or read the bags for the best type for your job.

You may find it easier to use a ready mixed wall tile adhesive for the small amount you need.0

It is often called dry wall adhesive.
And it is very sticky when mixed
