On the Beach Luggage Charges

I've booked a holiday with On The Beach and would like to add an extra checked bag. We're flying with Ryanair and I'm able to access the flight booking via Ryanair so can technically add the bags myself. I've looked through OTB's t&cs and can't find anything that says you can't make changes yourself but does anyone know for sure?

Ryanair would charge £54 return for the bag, OTB want £90 (£30 admin charge and then they conviently round Ryanair's charge up to £60). I don't want to do it myself for them to turn round and cancel my holiday or charge me a lot extra for breaking the contract between OTB and myself.

Can you change/create the/a password on your flight booking so OTB can't access it? If so, do that asap.

You probably paid more for the flight booking with OTB than if you'd have just booked in on RYR site yourself.

If you can actually add luggage then do so. Sometimes the screenscrapers like OTB allow access to the booking so you can check in, but you can't make changes. RYR site has changed since my last booking with them so I don't what you can access just by logging in.

I've managed to add it to my own Ryanair account linked to my own email, hence why I can change the luggage.

My worry was that they'd receive a confirmation email to the email address they created that's unique to me?

It would serve them right if everyone that booked via screen scrapers did it. They aren't permitted to book Ryanair flights that's why you get a 'special' email address. It's only recently they've given their customers access to their bookings, and that's only because Ryanair had started court proceedings against them. They only go on Ryanairs website and book the flight like you would.

They probably will get a confirmation that the booking has been changed. Whether they should have booked it in the first place or not, rightly or wrongly they do own that booking, and they have to know about any changes to it.

I have the opportunity to change the contact details so I will probably do that closer to the date of travel and add them myself.
