Hi all - new to posting here so huge apologies if I get anything wrong!
We're trying to do a really in depth budget at the moment to understand exactly what we spend our money on. We know we spend a lot in Sainsburys but we'd love to know exactly how that breaks down - food, clothing, cleaning products etc etc.
We figured that Nectar would have the answers to this but is there a way we can get our hands on it? It is our data so is there a way to get it under the data protection act?
If this is the wrong section to post this in please let me know - really wasn't sure where to put it. And apologies if we've overlooked a really obvious answer to this!
Any help very gratefully received!

Thanks PeacefulWaters
Is it something you've done before?
Interesting to know that this is possible - guessing they'll send the data in as unhelpful format as possible. Still it'll be worth combing through it...0 -
If you shop online click on most bought then you'll get a rough idea on what you buy the most:T:T  :beer::beer: to the lil one

Oh wow - will try that. Thanks so much everyone. What helpful people you all are!0

Could you not just keep your Sainsbury's receipts then when you get home look through the receipt and keep note of what you are spending the money on? Would be a lot easier surely.0

Aw, don't be silly. Everyone can't live now without someone else doing the work for them!0

It's just really that as the works been done and I have a right to see my own data and I don't really have heaps of time, I guess asking for the data seemed seemed sensible. They get lots of good data out of me for (almost) free, so why not use it to my benefit too? :-D0

If you buy using your bank card, you can get a statement going back six years filtered to just sainsbury's transactions and you can add them up.

That's not going to give the level of detail the OP's looking for though - they want to know how much they have spent on individual item categories, not just how much they have spent in Sainsbury's in total0
