Hi all, I was wondering if all of your wins came from MSE and if not, where did they come from?

Mine are all from MSE - personally just using one site helps me to avoid entering a competition twice and thus disqualifying myself accidentally!
The vast amount of web comps are usually already posted here by the lovely folk () who continue to post them all, that I rarely ever come across any that have been missed. Always had plenty of wins just by using MSE! Best of luck :A0 -
Hi Emella, thanks for replying. What have been your best wins and how often (on average) do you win? I've not had much luckMotorsport Fanatic & Comper0

Also wanted to add, with the comps listed on here, does it automatically show the newest first?Motorsport Fanatic & Comper0

Hi!
In the time I've actively comped probably about 1-4 wins every month. Won cash and a mobile together, Xbox and £300 Debenhams have been my best wins. How long have you been comping? It can sometimes take a while once you first start for competitions you have entered to start closing and any wins to start coming in. My advice is to try not to expect anything, I know it can be difficult when you're entering so many. I've seen people go for a good while without winning anything and then win multiple prizes in one day (this has happened to me too!). I wish you the best of luck! :j
In answer to your other question; I think it is automatically set to newest first, but if not you should see the below on the 'Competition Time' page towards the bottom of listed comps. These are the settings needed for newest first:

Hi, I've probably been comping for about 3 months: after seeing Di Coke's channel on YouTube. I would have loved the Xbox! So far, I've won:
- Mr tumble bundle
- Whistles clothes
- Num Nom bundle
- South Africa Guide Book
I used to use Prize Finder. Then, CompDB. Recently, I've switched to MSE, as it looks like there are less comps listed but less entries. I also use Blog Comp LinkyMotorsport Fanatic & Comper0 -

I'd say that's not bad at all for only comping for three months. The thing is the comps you find here are the same ones as on Prizefinder and the other sites. There may be the odd one here or there that aren't, but the vast majority of them are. If by saying there are fewer entries for comps listed on here you are referring to the number of views or thanks a post has been given, you need to be aware that this is only the number of people who have seen it on MSE. Many other people will have accessed each comp from other comping sites as well as regular users of the site running the comp, so you can't tell how many people have entered just by looking at thanks on MSE.
I'd suggest sticking to one site so you can keep track of your entries and don't end up disqualifying yourself by entering comps multiple times.0 -
Okay. Thanks Deb - looking back on it, I haven't done too badly, but still not as good as some on the forum ;(. When I say the number of entries, it looks like it on the Gleam and RC widgets as well of late, but it may be because they're new. Finally, how do you arrange the posts? Emella tried to help but, when I tried to do the same, I was prompted to search a keyword on the forumMotorsport Fanatic & Comper0

Go right down to the bottom of the comps listed on a page. Under that it says "NEW THREAD" and under that it says "display options". If you click on this, you get the sort menus. I choose "Last Post Time" for the first, "Descending" for the second and "Beginning" for the third. This organises them according to those that have been listed the most recently.0 -
Thanks. Will try that now! Happy comping! Hopefully I can get some nice winsMotorsport Fanatic & Comper0

I've only beeing comping since the last day of February and have had a fair few wins already, I only use MSE and as emella and deb2112 say, it's a lot easier to stick to one site so you don't end up duplicating and disqualifying yourself, most competitions make their way on MSE anyway.
If you haven't already, I'd recommend looking at this thread: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5642373
Many compers can go weeks or months without any wins, it's just the luck of the draw and partly how many you enter, so don't get disheartened. It's best to see comping as a hobby, if you win anything great! But if you don't at least you're enjoying what you're doing anyway.
Good luck in future and I hope more wins come your way0
