    Could Answer 2 be Silbury Hill . Info found here
  • :o Hmm white*star could be right I probably jumped to conclusions when I saw East Kennet was the largest long barrow but dimensions seem to be more the Silbury Hill My barrow is only 20 ft high
    Quote from the Comp ::
    "First, I find Europe’s largest prehistoric man-made mound (4,400 years old, almost 100ft high). Nobody knows why it was built"
    :o
  • Hi

    I've got Silbury Hill for #2 as well.

    And I've got the Wilts & Berks canal for #1 - Kennet and Avon was (apparently) reopened by the Queen in 1990 and the one in "where was I" is unrestored...

    Have been waiting for someone to post though because I'm not sure about either answer and I quite fancy a weekend in Milan :D
