Statutory £2 Report

I have a question about ordering my £2 statutory credit reports from Experian, Equifax and CallCredit.

Whilst I can get immediate online access from Equifax and CallCredit, I have to wait for a PIN to arrive in the post for my Experian report.

Is there any way of getting my £2 Experian report any quicker than a minimum of 2 or 3 working days after ordering?

    No

However you can get immediate and free access to all credit reports without needing the statutory reports.

Call Credit - Noddle offers it for free
Equifax - Clearscore offers it for free
Experian - MSE credit club offers it for free

    Hope this helps :)

    Thanks for your reply, Richey,

I do all of this but these only get updated once a month. I just wanted to get an immediate update from Experian for £2 following a lot of credit activity.

Well you know all the recent stuff, so what can a very up to date one add?

If it's about credit score, and whether it might go up a few points, it isn't worth taking much notice of that.

I would try it today and see what you get.

I think you will get today's report and then monthly updates after today. Can you update if this is the case as it may help others in the future 🙂

I have been signed up to Noddle and Clearscore for many months and MSE Experian for a few months and these are all excellent. However as an established user I would not be able to get today's report.

Thank for you reply but you may have misunderstood my point. I have made a few credit applications recently and some were aborted after the credit check. I was keen to see how this had been recorded on Experian.

During one particular online application I had been asked for my main current account and twice the application was aborted saying that they were unable to progress the application. This bank account is over forty years old and is not recorded by any credit agencies. I then entered a more recent bank account (that is not my main account) and the application was successfully completed.

The bank in question is now showing that I have made multiple applications on the same day. I was just curious to see the effect within my Experian record now rather than in 2 or 3 weeks.

With you sorry. I thought you were signing up as a new subscriber. That's why I said I thought you got your report today and then monthly from today - i.e. Your anniversary opdayneach month of joining it.

I don't think there is any way to get your Experian quicker than waiting for the letter. It's most likely a ploy to try to "encourage" you to pay £14.99 a month.

If you have never had a free trial with them then you could do that and get your report today, just make sure you cancel it well within the 30 days

    Thanks Richey,

Unfortunately I did the free trials a couple of years ago.

For a second I thought about using a different email address like I have done on other websites to get a second ID.........Then I thought, how dumb can you get?:)

If I understand correctly, a statutory report has to contain everything that the CRA has recorded against your name, including, for example, CIFAS markers. Whereas the online access that they provide does not have to show this.

Might it therefore be useful to periodically check a statutory report to see whether everything about you is being shown on your free online access reports?
