Roof ventilation..?

Hi,
I live in an end terrace and every winter black mould appears on the very edge of the upstairs ceilings on the front and back external wall sides. The gable end is unaffected. Would roof ventilation fix this? Could it be a guttering issue?

sounds like cold spots it might be worth checking that your loft insulation goes right up to the edge .. I have used expanding foam sprayed into a wall in a similar area to the one you describe to act as a thermal break and reduce draughts from the roof space But my walls are plaster board so there is space for cold air to drop back down from the roof space

Like Emoji I say cold spots. A typical problem is the roof insulation has not gone right back to the edge of the roof, so go up in your roof and check on this. You may be able to pull the insulation into place, or cut it and shape it to fit properly. When doing so do not block any roof ventilation which may be coming through.
