UKPC Ticket from entry/leave camera, advice please!

Hello, hopefully a quick and easy one, I read the FAQ, it said in Scotland that a ticket like this can effectively be ignored, is that still correct?
The ticket is FUBAR anyway as it has calculated I was in the car park for 18 hours by using the entry photo from one visit and the exit photo from a different visit the next day.
Just making sure that I'm not doing anything wrong by filing it and ignoring it.
Thanks in advance,

Do you have anything to prove that you could not have been in the car park when they said so?I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Hi Peter, thanks for your prompt response!
What would constitute as proof?
Surely they already have proof, if thier system works it should have photographed me leaving after visiting the restaurant that night and also photographed me driving in at lunchtime the next day?
After visiting on the first visit I drove home, slept, got up, went to work. I'm not sure what I could provide as proof. Thanks in advance.0 -
So you went to work between the two times. Good.
The parking companies know full well that double dipping (as its called) happens because 1) the software is faulty or the wrong version or 2) deliberately ignoring the 1st out and 2nd in in the hope you'll just cough up.
Be patient, others will be along to help.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0 -
Sounds like one to send an online response as registered keeper, not saying who was driving but telling them as FACT that this was two separate visits and if they keep harassing you then you will sue for compensation for distress, arising from data misuse under the DPA and you will also make a formal complaint to the ICO and to the BPA and the DVLA.
It's Scotland, so no POPLA, so normally you would ignore but I would get shot of them with a careful (not implying the driver) response telling them to do one or be sued.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thank you all.
I put my PCN number and Reg into thier appeals website, in order to enter the information, it's asking me to put in my name and address info. Do I have to do this? I don't want them to try and use this as proof of driver?
I would send an email instead, but there is no email listed anywhere on the notice.
Thanks again!0 -

Well they already have your name and address because they've written to you, so unless the website is set-up so you have to identify/acknowledge yourself as the driver then it's neither here nor there.
Personally as you are in Scotland I wouldn't be contacting them at all.0 -
Can you not put in a wrong name and address? Donald Trump, White House spring to mind. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0

How does that matter? I've said not to imply who was driving. They have your name and address already, they know you are the keeper and you are NOT saying who was driving.
If unsure, show us the wording first but surely it's simple. Third person 'the car did this' and 'the car was not there' and nothing about 'me, myself or I'.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

My apologies. Re- read it and one of the boxes says you are not saying you are the driver. I abandoned appealing for the moment anyway, I went lateral and complained to McDonalds head office. No idea if that will work.
From what I've read on here if they cancel it, does that mean I can write to the DVLA to get confirmation that my data was obtained for the wrong reasons and take them to the small claims court?
Thanks in advance0
