PCN council ticket - help!

I would greatly appreciate any advice as to whether it's worth appealing a PCN I recently recieved.
I was parked up on a grass verge whilst watching the football, I presumed it was okay to do so as there were numerous other cars parked there also.
The PCN states ' parked with one or more wheels on or over a footpath or any part of a road other than a carriage way. '
Is it worth appealing or will I have simply have to cough up? I was reading that as it's from the council it's harder to do so than a private firm
Thankyou!

You should've parked this in the dedicated parking section of the forum, however, I don't think you have any grounds to appeal, just because other vehicles were parked like that.
What council is it?0 -
As grounds for a defence that's pretty poor0

For challenging a ticket, the Pepipoo Forum is your best place - Sign-up with something other than a Hotmail addy, read the prelim posts/threads and be ready to post all the info they ask for, incl a scan/image of both sides of the ticket, with personal/numerical details removed.0

That's a pertinent question because some PCNs are not worded correctly (a loophole but a valid one). Pepipoo forum will look at the PCN; you need to show BOTH SIDES (all small print, but cover your VRN) in a new thread:

HTHPRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
