Total Parking Solutions / I E Legal Solicitors

Hi,

On 2nd Feb I parked in the staff car park of Pilgrim Hospital in Boston. My wife is an employee and has a permit (daily one where you scratch off panels to choose date and whether am/pm). We were going to maternity for her to be induced with our second child. In the excitement of it all, we forgot to put the permit in the windscreen. I remembered after about an hour, and went to the car to do it, but had already been given a ticket on the windscreen at this point (from Total Parking Solutions). I put the permit in place to cover us for the rest of the time.

Having had one of these PCNs a few years ago (different car park and location), I read advice online to ignore it. As that had worked, I did the same this time. Today I've received a letter from I E Legal Solicitors ("Notice of impending legal action") demanding £110 before Monday 5th May otherwise they WILL take further action.

I've come online and read the sticky and realise a lot has changed in the last few years, and that I should have attempted to appeal with template letters. Is it too late now to do anything? The lack of permit was a genuine error, the permits were in the car we just forgot to put it in the windscreen. I'd rather pay the £110 than go to court, but if there's a way to get out of it without going to court I'd be interested to know.

Thanks,
Leccy

Contact PALS (Google it!) at the hospital and get them involved.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
