in Phones & TV
I had a burst pipe in my home on 10.3.17 and am not living there till at least July. I am with Sky for tv phone and broadband and when I called they persuaded me to just accept a discount for 18 months in order to keep the phone on. But they are also keeping on the Sky TV and Broadband. Now I pop in every few days and have made a couple of calls whilst there but TV and broadband are not needed. However I am watching Sky Go on my laptop where I am living. I am now paying about £32.00 per month for all three.
The only alternative was to turn all 3 off until I next move in. My only worry is if I do that I will not get my landline no back and its very important as thats the number we have had for years and years and we want to keep it.
Any ideas of a short term solution

Key here is your contract .
<they persuaded me to just accept a discount for 18 months in order to keep the phone on.>
I am reading that as an 18 month contract .
Cancel and you will be required to pay all the remaining months .
Cancel and you are very likely to lose your number .0 -

I think I answered my own question0 -
If you are using Sky Go, you are using the tv service.0

The only thing you are paying for but not using is your BB - Sky Go gives you full access to what you are paying for on TV. Can't imagine how you could not pay line rental just because house is empty. Have you looked at your home insurance (presuming they are dealing with repairs) - might have some element of covering these types of costs as part of the overall pay out?0
