Hi all,

Left first utility last year after taking them to the ombudsman for billing issues, nearly 10 months later have my final bill that is wrong, after promises of call backs and receiving none I raised a complaint.

Have just had the reasons why and been offered £14.94 as a good will gesture for length of time of bill and due to service issues with missed calls.

Does this sound ok or would the ombudsman suggest more?

Having used the ombudsman in the past can't say I'm that impressed with there previous offer and the amount of time it took them.

You will need to abide by the ombudsmans decision (assuming you agreed to it). Expect no more nor no less.

Having taken the matter to the ombudsman, if you failed to agree to the proposed resolution (which is your right) you probably won't get anything from the supplier.
(unless you take legal action and the court finds in your favour)

Footyguy thanks for your response, should clarify and read my own posts better the previous ombudsman decision related to last year and was paid out by first utility.

Just wondering if I should take this offer or would going to the ombudsman get me more, is there a sliding scale posted somewhere that I could see if I could be entitled to more or if I should just accept this offer and move on.

Personally, I'd take the offer and move on -fighting on ( for maybe months),might get you an extra £20!
