Does a Decent Shed Increase Value?
Comments
-
To the OP, are you planning to sell soon? If so, get a cheap shed. If not, get something reet fancy for you to enjoy.0

I wouldn't care about a shed when buying, however fancy it was. I would be swayed by a home office style cabin in the garden. Unfortunately, those cost a lot more than £700.Anything I say in no way constitutes financial advice and anything you do is your own decision.0

I think that the only way a shed could offer any value is if you were comparing two identical houses and one had a good shed, the other didnt. But that situation is never going to happen as the houses will be decorated differently, in different condition, location etc......
So no, shed wont increase value. Maybe to some, it would decrease the value if they prefered the space offered if it wasnt there?0 -
A shed won't add a penny in value. But a dilapidated one will make buyers wonder what else has been neglected.0

A shed's value is so small compared to the price f a house that it will have no effect on the selling price.
Buy the one you want and take it with you when you move or negotiate a separate private sale with your buyer.0
