Odeon Premier seats

Just paid for all of us to go for a premier movie today and decided to treat with premier reserved seats. Waste of money. They are not comfortable and very hard. For kids - they can hardly see the screen even when they supplied a booster seat. I even found the headrest from the premier seat in front blocking some of my view. Dont buy these for kids.

  • The premier seats at the Odeon by us are right at the back on the auditorium and are not really much different!! I dont think there worth the money even at a pound or two more.

If theres a showcase near you use there premier service - at ours we get to go upstairs with waiter service thing and they are very comfy sofas/seats and you get free snacks (nachos, mini box of celebrations ect)

Odeon are pretty clever in there stratergy in Trafford centre.

The only seats that are reserved (to your seat number) are the premier ones.
So really if you like a particular place you have to go premier.

The problem i find is that even people who dont pay for them get the "privelage" of using them. Which is exceptionally irritating whne they are inconsiderate annoying people.

I agree. My fiancee and I used VIP Vue seats for the first time last night due to wanting to see Toy Story 3 in a packed screen. I was impressed; the seats were very comfortable, noticeably more so than the normal seats. And obviously they came with the advantage of getting decent seats in a full showing as well. Well worth a couple of quid extra on top of the Orange Wednesdays price in the circumstances.

I was working at Odeon Trafford Centre when they first installed those seats. We all laughed 'cause they were so uncomfy. It highly amused us when people paid extra to use them, since they were clearly a waste of money.

I like the deal Empire Cinemas do, if you book online for a film, you get a free upgrade to the premier seats, which are comfortably better, and also rock back a bit to be even more comfy. It's just a shame that I normally end up with a snotty kid that continuously kicks my chair!

  • I visited Odeon in Birmingham and found the Premier seats very uncomfortable.I thought it was just me but seems others think the same.

I will not visit there again.

Which cinema has the most comfy seats then? I found cineworld comfy

The best premier cinema experience i had was in Auckland, NZ.

    The Gold Class included:
    • entry to a private bar with waiter service and comfy seats
    • option to place an order for any food (full meal or snack) or drink (hot, soft or alcohol) that can either be ready for you in the cinema when you arrive or at any point during the film
    • an exclusive cinema with only 20 seats
    • the seats are large comfy reclining armchairs where you can press buttons to put your feet up and recline back
    • another button to call a staff member to place an order for another drink
All this cost $30 NZ. at the time the exchange rate was £1 = $2.75 therefore all of this premier service cost:

    £11.

now every time i go to the odeon and pay around a tenner for a normal seat i think of auckalnd and that wonderful service.......

The few times I have paid for the 'upgrade' at the Trafford Centre someone is always sitting in our number seat! Went to see Inception the other day and sat somewhere else as someone in our seat, felt mean moving them as film had started, then someone wanted us to move as we had sat in their seats. Comedy shuffle in the end as four couples all ended up moving to be in the right seats!
