I have an Apple running Sierra/Office 2011. I've been googling for ages to find help on how to convert a pdf to a Word document, but with zero success! If anyone could help, that would be much appreciated - surely there is some free software out there to do this... Many thanks.

I believe OpenOffice is available for the Mac.
Or failing that, an on-line converter may be best, feed it your PDF file and it'll convert it to Word but bear in in mind you will probably have to do some additional editing to maintain the formatting.

We use Adobe Acrobat Professional, still have a few blips with it, but overall its editable.0

Office 2013 on - will import PDF's straight to word
So - if you want to stay with MS - Buy Office 2016 pro plus for £35

This is a better buy than Office 365 - licence lasts for 12 months !!0 -
