Diabetic dog feeling better...but oh, the aftermath!

Hi all,
Bit of help needed. A few months ago I posted about my poor little fuzzy being diagnosed with diabetes
She's feeling much better now we've got her insulin stable, which is awesome - I feel like she's got her life back
However, the toll on our carpets and soft furnishings has been a harsh one. She had high blood sugar so started puddling everywhere, and now there's an underlying "sweet urine" smell to the house.
What could we use to get rid of this?
TIA!

For pet accidents I use either biological washing powder if it's a hard floor or this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Pet-Pride-Kennel-Cattery-Disinfectant-Cleaner-Deodoriser-25L-Range/112281930327?_trksid=p2385738.c100677.m4598&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160908110712%26meid%3D1b55fff42d764ed6bb7519de751bcf83%26pid%3D100677%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D19%26sd%3D161476482353
I use it neat or in a bucket and also dilute it in a spray bottle and use it on everything - I have a cat that athough spayed likes to "mark" things when I'm not looking.
I like the smell of the lawn one best.0 -
Simple solution is very good.
I buy the 4 litre containers, which are much cheaper than smaller ones (and I have two elderly dogs), via Amazon . I also monitor the price as it fluctuates a lot (as much as £5) and have just bought two lots for just over £24 delivered (price is up today, though).
I originally bought Urine-Off, from Crufts, which worked very well, but the Simple solution was just as good and cheaper, even in smaller containers.
I also bought 4 X 4litre containers of Pet Fresh disinfectant/cleaner (Very concentrated, dilutes to 1:99) for £20 delivered, whereas just one costs about £12. The perfumes are lovely, especially fresh flowers and pine (this smells like pine trees and not just pine disinfectant), being ideal for the kitchen floor and splashing outside.0 -
Thank you lovely people
