Confused with ppi

I really hope someone can help?! I'm so confused now:(
I have found some old ppi paperwork. It was sold to my husband and I with our mortgage endowments from a broker who told us we had to have it to cover for our endowments The endowments were with AXA but the broker was from Lexelle. We have tried to claim off AXA but they say we haven't had ppi off them. Do we claim from AXA or The broker?
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks in advance

You complain to whoever sold it to you.0

As above, but "old pi paperwork" , how long ago?
Also brokers were allowed to sell you an insurance instead of charging broker fees.
You don't claim, you make a complaint, an allegation that whoever sold it to you did something wrong and in some way mis-sold it to you.0 -

Brokers were not regulated until Jan 2005. The last endowment provider pulled out in 2004. This would suggest you bought pre-regulation.We have tried to claim off AXA but they say we haven't had ppi off them. Do we claim from AXA or The broker?
Why would you complain to your endowment provider that you bought PPI?
You would complain to the broker but as its pre-regulation, they do not need to consider your complaint.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Thanks guys! My papers are 2007 with Lexelle Ltd who then changed into Advent Solutions Management Ltd underwritten by AXA, that's why I thought I had to complain against AXA.0
