FTB-what happens after survey??

Can anyone please advise what happens after the survey and who I need to talk to?
The survey has some red flags which will need to be seen to e.g damp and timber report after which we will be going to the estate agent for renogiation on the price but my question is do I speak to my solicitor at this point? If so, what info do they need?
And how much info do I need to tell the estate agent about the survey??
There are some other points in the survey such as checking building permission for the loft conversion and electricity/gas certificates...do I ask the estate agent to ask the seller for these?
Sorry for the long post-as first time buyers it's difficult to know what comes next and who needs to know what information!!

What is building permission? Do you mean planning permission? Or do you mean building regulations? There is a big difference.0

The information in the survey is for you. No one 'needs to know'.
How you choose to use the information is up to you.
Is there some legal issue in the survey report which you wish to discuss with your solicitor? He will have no interest i, or professional knowledge of, matters relating to construcion or condiion of the property, other than legal ones.
Which source material are you using to guide you through the house-buying process? Most are adequate and many are free from your local library eg
