Wiltshire Searches

My solicitor has started the searches on a property I hope to buy and having spoken with my MA, she mentioned that Wiltshire are particularly poor at returning search results in a decent time frame.
So does anyone have rough timelines of recent house purchases in Wiltshire? I'm not in a particular rush, if anything it's good if they do take slightly longer (more money to save!), I'd just like a rough idea on how long it's likely to take.
Thanks in advance!

It could take 6 weeks to never (30% of house purchases fall through)
Most likely all the other complications that occur when buying and selling will make the search timescale pale into insignificance.
I bought a house with cash 10 years ago, so i didn't bother with any searches as I knew the area, and had no mortgage company insisting i waste money on them, no mortgage involved for me, my vendor was buying a new flat that was ready to move into with no onward sale , (probably a mortgage for her), only two of us in the chain, and it still took about 3 months !0 -

Yeah I read that story but seeing it was a year ago I wondered if they'd smartened up their act!0
