NO i dont want money or anyone sacked but an apology that someone did something that resulted in my son getting hurt. he actually is now on medication for a reaction to this.

Then why post on a Saving money board, instead of in the general chatting section?

We are none of us infallable and quite capable of making mistakes, particularly when under stress?!.....Or should I apologise now for not having bowed to those on here who are perfect?!!:p :p:p :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: ;)

Extremely sorry to read about the incident with your child whilst visiting Comet, and astounded at some of the comments about bad parenting - Don't these people ever take a young child out of doors?
I think you should report the incident to the Health & Safety Executive, Tel. 0845-345-0055, who will investigate it and have huge powers to fine Comet if they are at fault. If this costs Comet money it will certainly sharpen up their act regarding public safety.

...and so the 'blame somebody else' culture continues. Both parties need to accept they failed in their responsibilities, the sooner that happens the better.

Whilst the incident may be logged (for statistical purposes), I think I can safely say it will most certainly NOT be investigated. Why? Well, because HSE are grossly understaffed, having cut staff numbers over recent years, and the main focus of their work these days is preventive, rather than reactive, work.

I've personally reported broken limbs in industrial accidents which have not resulted in a visit from a factory inspector.
...and have huge powers to fine Comet if they are at fault...
    Pardon!?!?!?

The HSE have powers to prosecute only. Any fine will be determined by a court.

  • Couple of questions,

how long was the 2 year old playing with the product, cos it would be very unlucky just to pick it up and spray it into its face?

What lessons have you learnt from this experience?
