Horizon Tesco Express ticket

Ok so my wife has been told to stop using this express car park as she seems to run over their 30 min limit. They used to use Euro car parks 1 hour but that's all changed the later part of 2016. 17 mins over this time.

They seem to use Tesco staff or agents with smart phones as they take two poor shots of the back of your car with a dodgy looking time stamp.they aren't putting tickets on cars but claiming to the DVLA it's an unpaid charge?...

They don't own (Tesco) the land and two of the space are for a party shop although Horizon seem to think it's all theirs and the signage doesn't reflect this. The party shops spaces aren't marked however I have found the plans online and details or the landowner of the building and the two tenants

I have used the bpa appeal with some additions so appeal is in. Tesco cuz service have said they have put a notice to cancel but the ticket is still active a week later.

Anyone got any further tips?

AFAIK Horizon dont "own" any car parks, most PPC`s, only patrol the land on a contract basis for a landowner or an MA

there was something written last year about tesco dealing with their own parking problems , as a landholder (which they often are)

If you're up for ruffling some feathers at Tesco, you could issue a Letter Before Claim for the harassment being caused by their agent (for whose actions they are jointly and severally liable). Issue it to their legal department. Quote 'Ferguson v British Gas Trading'.

That was a huge case, and you won't have had anywhere near enough harassment as in the above case, but this shot across the bows (which you need not follow up with any action) might be enough for Tesco to instruct Horizon to call off the dogs.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Yes in many stores Tesco use their own staff to scam their customers and pictures are sent to Horizon.
You need to change your shopping habits and not deal with a supermarket like Tesco who scam their customers

You need an email from Tesco's confirming cancellation and then advise Horizon that this has been cancelled by Tesco and request Horizon to confirm. It's that simple.

I had the same last year and it took 5 emails to the shabby Horizon and then got 5 replies confirming cancellation.

Never shopped at Tesco again, I do not spend my money with a scamming company
