Ignored NTK letters now stressing

Hi wonderfully insightful guys,
I really need some help and advice.
I recieved around 5 PCNs within the space of a month. Whilst in hindsight I should have stopped parking in this area after the first one, I felt they were unlawfully and unfair and was advised to ignore them.
I was sent a NTK but was once again advised to ignore so I foolishly threw away this letter ans continued to bury my head in the sand.
I now have a more stern letter off the PCC and then a debt collection letter followed later. They have threatened that I owe over £600. Two of my initial £35 are now £130 for some reason.
What is my next point of action please?
The signs are clear however it is not clear they have ownership of the land. Plus the sign seems to pertain to a car park (where I have been accused of parking), however I was parked on double yellow lines on an ACCESS ROAD that leads to the back of some shops. I wouldn't have thought they had jurisdiction over tat road.
I would be grateful for any advice. Thanks in advance.

What is the name of the parking company please?
If you look on the BMPA website (zendesk) you should be able to find the likelihood that the company will do court. The more the PCNs ignored, the greater the chance with some companies, whilst others will go there for just one.
The advice to ignore has not been given on this site since the law changed in 2012, so you/whoever gave that advice is well out of date.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks0 -
It was a work colleague that advised me to ignore. I wish I had sought advice on here first but I'm very naive to the situation.
They're from Europe Car Parks.0 -
your work colleague is now liable for the bad advice he or she gave so give them an invoice for the total bill due to poor legal advice
tell them you are using the BARRY BEAVIS court case to prove your case against them0 -
I meant Euro Car Parks obviously. My bloody phone auto corrects everything. I will have a stern word with my colleague.
What can I do now though? Do I have a leg to stand on with an appeal?0 -
no you cannot appeal , that ship sailed long ago0
-
Really? One of the PCNs is only 5 weeks old. So what now? Shut up and pay up or wait to be taken to court?0
-
you have 28 days (4 weeks) to appeal a pcn
so 5 weeks or more means its too late
the 2 options that are open to you are in the latter part of your reply , we would favour the last one0 -
So stay quiet until they go that far? And hope they don't? I can't even appeal to popla? I haven't had the ntk letters (follow up from windscreen pcn) for 2 of them. I'm not getting a lot of the post and correspondence hence why the debt collector letter came as a shock.0

That's because the useless debt collectors have lumped on their bit for the fun of sending you begging letters but they can be ignored, you won't be paying their add on costs what ever happens.0 -

Wow, what a worrier. Euro Car Parks never sue anyone, I've ignored them twice myself. Relax! If it was Parking Eye I'd be concerned but NOT this bunch of dafties!
You will just get stupid debt collector letters (see post #4 of the NEWBIES thread) and please no updates about every silly template letter (please spare us). We do not want to hear about Debt Recovery Plus and Zenith tedious letters ever again and there is no need to post about them, or even spend a nano second reading them!
You aren't in Scotland are you?
Actually if you have not had NTKs for some of them, and are NOT in Scotland, I would actually try an appeal on all of them tonight, online. Takes about 5 minutes to put the forum appeal template from the NEWBIES thread into ECP's little online car icon thingy.
I'd appeal all, no harm in it as long as the driver is not implied. Do that tonight and sleep soundly, no worries here.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
