Retractable load cover for Insignia hatchback

Hi all
After a bit of advice please

Is it possible to buy a retractable load cover for a Vauxhall Insignia hatchback or are they only available for estates ?

Many thanks in advance, all advice gratefully received :)

I thought the hatchback came with a solid one that lifted up with the boot lid. Why do you want a retractable one?

I strongly suspect not. It would need mounting points, etc too.

As you say, its the estate variant that has one

Thanks for the replies guys .
As motor guy says , and having had a retractable in a previous car we thought it might be an idea.
Motorguy, could I ask what you thought of the insignia, as we haven't bought it yet & I'd like the opinion of someone who's actually owned one.
    Many thanks in advance !

I liked it. I'd have another.

Avoid the 1.8i petrol variant. The rest of the engine range is fine.

Get the youngest car in the spec you want for your budget.

They improved them over the years.

Dont pay a fortune for one - they are as cheap as chips.

SRi on 18s or SRi VX-Line would be my specs of choice.

They are genuinely good cars - if a little dull.

    Mine was a 2010 2.0CDTI 160BHP SRi.

If i hadnt recently had one, i'd have bought another now. I opted for a 2016 Passat TDI SE Business Edition - a 2016 Insignia 2.0CDTI SRi VX-Line would have been my second choice

Thank you so much for this, it's really helpful !
The one we've found is a 65 reg 2.0 CDTI eco FLEX SRI ( going on a test drive tomorrow )
Your time & opinion is much appreciated!

I have on too, (59 plate 160 Sri cdi) so far put ~90k miles on it in 3 years and has not missed a beat.

Word of caution, don't buy a diesel if all you do is short stop/start journeys. Ideally they need a blast down the motorway getting up to full temperature etc at least ince a week if that is the case due to DPF regens required etc

I use mine predominantly on Motorways so no issues for me with the DPF.
