Car Parking Fine past appeal date HELP PLEASE

Ive had a good read in this forum but can't seem to find my answer to my problem so i wondered if someone could help or direct me to the right thread to help.

I received a letter in March stating that the car parking ticket i had been issued by a company called care parking has passed its appeal date and that my fine had increased. This was the first I heard about any fine so I wrote to ask for more details and emailed and they refused both times to discuss anything with me and sent me a link with a picture of the ticket on my car. I have no recollection of this ticket being in place when I returned to my car and they will not provide me with any information as to what offence I was fined for as the pictures only show the car parked with a ticket on. The car park was a private car park with free parking but they state i was causing obstruction which the pictures don't show.

Im not sure what to do as this fine is increasing and as the appeal date has passed they are refusing to speak with me and have stated that they will proceed with court action if i do not pay. :(

The letter received states that they are part of the BPA

It is not a fine - simply a request for payment, which you are perfectly entitled to ignore. You've asked for more info and been refused, so sit it out until they run out of begging letters or advise the matter is going to court.

Google 'ghost ticketing' to learn more about this appalling piece of scamming, carried out by too many PPCs than you would imagine.

Care Parking (aka Anchor Security Services) don't do court - currently.

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Presumably by now you've read post #4 of the NEWBIES thread and know to ignore debt collector letters. The forum is here for you to read and learn what to expect.
