I chair and am secretary of a small self management group, just 5 properties, we each hold one share in the communal outside parking area and small courtyard that we jointly own. We are now down to only three active directors and just two of us do all the organising and management work. I am getting tired of it and want to resign but would like to be able to put forward the concept of a block management agent, before I resign
The work just involves accounts, service charge, insurance and general (easy) area maintenance and one agm. Everyone pays on time. I found a couple of block managing agents in the closest small town, one has poor reviews. I found them by googling `block management`. How do I get a decent straightforward agent, who won`t charge silly money for uncomplicated work and has anyone any idea of a ballpark figure for the extra costs, we each pay £260 pa, which covers everything. Also would a managing agent arrange share transfers etc when required.

In an ideal world you would appoint a consultant to run a tender process and select an agent for you. However I can't see this working for you as cost will be anything from £2,000 upwards.
