Vendot not responded to reduced offer-how long to wait?

I had my survey back for the flat I'm buying 2 weeks ago and put in a reduced offer to reflect the surveyor's valuation. The vendor (a developer) asked the estate to query the valuation with the surveyor, who was very professional and explained his reasons but I haven't heard anything since!
I want to know what's happening but don't want to be too keen and blow it. Should I tell my solicitor to pause any proceedings to save running up expenses (if I can do this?) or email the EA today?
Thanks

If you're saying that you submitted a reduced offer 2 weeks ago, and you haven't heard back since then - you should definitely chase the EA.
It's very unusual for an EA or a developer to just let a transaction stand still for 2 weeks.
Perhaps they're playing a game with you...
... the more time and money you invest in the transaction, the less likely you are to walk away, if they refuse to drop the price.
Realistically, the developer will only reduce the price if they think you will walk away.0
