Haggling with bank?

It is often recommended that we haggle with TV companies, etc, as they want to keep their customers.
Does this ever apply to banks? Is it worth haggling?
At present, I'm with M&S bank and have been happy with their service.
I do not have to pay in a certain amount each month, which suits me as my small income varies. I also get a few reward vouchers quarterly.
With their savings account, I have received 6% interest, although this will drop to 5% in the coming year.
In today's MSE newsletter, I see M&S have a tempting offer for new customers.
Are banks interested in keeping existing customers?

What exactly you would you be looking to haggle over? Remember that financial services are governed by terms and conditions, and banks won't create personalised t&C's for individual customers.0

Thank you. It doesn't seem likely then!
I suppose I was hoping there may be an incentive to stay with M&S Bank!0 -
The incentive is what your currently getting.0

The only haggling that I can see as being possible is for long-standing customers to ask for the same deal as new customers are getting. Always worth a try with banks that do this kind of thing.
I've done this with energy companies and, if they don't agree, moved.I came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left.0 -
Well, there's no harm in politely asking.
If you have been with the bank for many years you could butter them up and say that you have always been so satisfied with their service but that the big rewards are only for new customers.....and that seems a trifle unfair/ whatever...
If you don't ask you certainly don't get!Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!
