                    Evening all,
The Newbie pinned thread suggested I start a new thread, so here it is...
I have received a County Court Business Centre claim from Horizon Parking/Gladstones Solicitors for 2no PCNs incurred in a supermarket car park in 2015.
I have (incorrectly, it seems) ignored all correspondence up until receiving the claim form. All correspondence has been binned, apart from Gladstone's "Letter before claim" and the county court claim form.
I have acknowledged the service online (about 1 week ago) although I accidentally selected the box to dispute part of the claim only.
Any pointers/tips would be much appreciated before I compile and issue my defence.
Kind regards,
C

IGNORING until now is not a bad thing nor does it mean you have any issues , until now
read post #2 of the NEWBIES thread and start to draft your defence by reading others over the last few months on here and fornulate and draft your own defence based on the ones you read
once you have a working draft , post it on here for critique
and what happened when you complained to this supermarket ?0

            Thanks for the response, Redx.
I haven't complained to the supermarket as I was under the impression that if you held your nerve against all the threatening letters then the PCNs would go away. I wasn't aware that the 'official' advice had since changed and ignoring was no longer the best course of action. I assume that now it has escalated to a small claim appealing to the landowner/supermarket will no longer work?
I will draft a defence and post for comment.
It's not going to be a problem that I accidentally ticked the box for disputing part of the claim, instead of disputing the whole claim? I've since logged back into the gov portal and there is still an option to submit a defence against the whole claim.
 Thanks,
 C0

            Morning all,
I'm just wondering if anyone can verify whether Private Parking Appeals on ParkingCowboys.co.uk are the real deal? And if so, do they offer the best chance of success in fighting PCNs, solicitors letters, Court Claims etc..?
3 weeks ago I received a letter before claim from Gladstones on behalf of Horizon for a number of PCNs. As I've been away with work I've only just seen the LBCCC and assume the County Court Claim will be along any day now. The total sum is over £400 so paying a few quid to make this go away seems like a good deal.
Current commitments in work and my personal life mean that I don't have a great deal of time to sort this myself. I've already paid out a significant amount of money this year due to messing up a previous Court Claim from these chancers so am obviously keen to avoid that happening again.
Many thanks in advance for any advice.0

I would not care to comment on Private Parking Appeals ????
If you are to save £400, you are going to have to put in
 some time and effort
You will get all the help you need here to do so.
Gladstones are noted in the courts as being highly incompetent
as they really don't know what they are doing.
A judge recently said she was "fed up with Gladstones"
So that's plus one in your favour.
To win .... you must do something or throw away £4000

What did you make of yesterdays thread on the subject?
It lays-out the position of this and other boards quite clearly. So we don't need to keep opening that can of worms over and over again!0

Private Parking Appeals , will do just that , they will assist in writing an appeal .
you are well past this stage now , having received a letter before court action,

you are well past this stage now , having received a letter before court action,I do have around 20 other PCNs for this particular supermarket (I enjoy shopping there but don't enjoy paying for the privilege, it seems). I wonder what kind of response I would get from the supermarket should I complain about them all. I can't see them looking too kindly on my flagrant disregard of their parking rules.

I'm not clear who the 'chancers' are here. Pot and kettle spring to mind.I wonder what kind of response I would get from the supermarket should I complain about them all. I can't see them looking too kindly on my flagrant disregard of their parking rules.
There's a lot to tackle, and IamEmanresu's advice might well be spot on.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

            Thanks for the responses.
I searched the forums for "Private Parking Appeals" before posting but it returned no hits.
Manually trawling through the threads and I've found the one you are referring to, which links to Pepidoo. After reading a few threads about the service there it appears they are best avoided!
Perhaps the sticky should be updated to reflect this?
Anywho, I'll draft a response to Gladstones and post in a new thread for advice. Or is it best to just wait for the County Court Claim to come through and then defend that? I assume it'll be coming soon0
