1997 Lloyds loan. Further recourse?

Hi all.
After reading a similar story I'm now setting my stool out to start a reclaim of a certain miss-selling from Lloyds in 1997.
My question more relates to if there is anything else I should/ could do as there are a few more poignant details to note.
Upon taking a loan to buy a car in 1997 I was told I have to have it to get accepted for the loan (19 years old). I was told this by the bank agent whom lived a few doors down. I don't know the account number but I sure know her name!
A while later I got in to monetary difficulty and spoke with the bank manager himself after making an appointment. I can even recall the location of his office, but not his name.
Upon me saying I cannot afford the loan as it is, I asked if the PPI could be taken off. For doing this I could afford the payments.
I was told no, I couldn't remove it.
I subsequently had to sell the car. (A 4 year old car and ended up with an 11 year old car).
This is the main part... I went on a debt consolidation which royally screwed me up for YEARS after.
Do I have any further way of pushing for more extensive compensation for all this?
What are the options available to me?
Sorry to bore you. If anyone from Lloyds is reading this, I'm coming for you.

You can put in a complaint about the PPI if you fee it was mis sold. If successful, you'll get back premiums plus interest.
However, if it was compulsory, then it won't have been mis sold. You also have the issue of whether they have any records of the loan.
There won't be any further compensation beyond the PPI refund.0 -
Bank employees are not held individually accountable for mis-selling PPI. Their names are therefore irrelevant in a PPI complaint and knowing the seller's name does not improve your chances of success. It's unwise to attempt to make a personal issue of this. The person concerned may no longer even work for the Bank.I was told this by the bank agent whom lived a few doors down. I don't know the account number but I sure know her name!
Again, this is irrelevant in a PPI complaint. The PPI you paid did not directly lead to your monetary difficulties, that would be solely down to you. This is the main part... I went on a debt consolidation which royally screwed me up for YEARS after.
I'm afraid you are not even guaranteed a refund of your PPI, let alone "extra" compensation.Do I have any further way of pushing for more extensive compensation for all this?
You can complain that your PPI was mis-sold. If successful you receive a refund. If not, you receive nothing. What are the options available to me?
You don't appear to be "coming for" anyone. Twenty years on, you will even be fortunate if there are any records left of this finance. If anyone from Lloyds is reading this, I'm coming for you.0 -
You may want to set out your stall instead as I doubt anyone wants to see your stoolHi all.

If you complain and are successful, any amounts can be be taken to pay off amounts in arreas, interest taken off or amounts outstanding.
If you're going to complain, use single premium as a complaint reason.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0
