Changed employers last October, will I get 2 P60's?

I changed jobs last October & my P60 (from my new employer) only shows the money/tax etc I earned with them. Should I be receiving a P60 from my old employer too? I have no way to see what my total earnings & tax payments were without all the info. Should I be chasing my old employer for a P60?

No, you should have got a P45 from your previous employer to give to the new one who should then do the P60 (and all of your payroll) taking into account previous income.
Might be a bit late now though, I don't know.“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0 -
Ah, I did hand in my P45 to my new employer but I've just got my P60 (online) & it appears to only show my current details. I have access to the gov.gateway site. I'll take a look on there to see if there's any info0

I found it in the P60! There's a very small box that says previous earnings! Thanks for the help, much appreciated!0

the P45 is in three parts: one for you, two for your new employer - they keep one and send the other to HMRC after filling in their details.Novice_investor101 wrote: »Ah, I did hand in my P45 to my new employer
So did you keep your part?
(if you didn't, you won't be the first: I get the P45s at work and it's quite rare for someone to NOT give me the part they should keep!!!)Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
I thought employers stopped sending P45's to HMRC 4 or 5 years ago when Real Time Information started up??0

I did keep my part, but no idea what I did with it! It's probably in the folder with all the other stuff to do with that employer.
I've got my P60 from my new job, now. I'll get it filed away tomorrow.0 -
That's eminently possible: I have only been indirectly dealing with payroll for the last few years. However, the P45 still comes in three parts with those 'labels' on them. And I think there may still be a few very small employer who are 'allowed' not to it all on computer - could be wrong about that!Dazed_and_confused wrote: »I thought employers stopped sending P45's to HMRC 4 or 5 years ago when Real Time Information started up??Signature removed for peace of mind0
