She tests my blood at least 4 times a day, sets up the syringe with the right medication and injects me. If she has to intervene (generally at about 3am) to increase my blood sugar level she sets up the injection and injects me.
For fear of OD on Morphine, she has to control everything I am supposed to take throughout the day and night Medication is due 8am, 12noon. 4pm, 8pm and 3am a total of 29 tabs a day.
All in all up to about 90 mins per day - about 18mins a time which includes her writing up what I have had.
I don't understand why it has to be written up every time as surely the doses and number of tablets you take are the same each day and as for it to take 90 minutes I don't believe, because the easiest way round that would be to use a pill organiser for each day and time and would only need to be replenished once a week and that would just leave the morphine to be administered.
And yes I do have experience of this because I organise the tablets my wife has to take to keep her Parkinson's symptoms at bay .0 -

What does your wife think of your story telling on the internet?
Incapable of remembering to take medication, yet apparently capable of giving all sorts of "advice" to others and am amazing recollection of some tall tales from short and long term memory. How does that work?0 -

Even they believe that I have been prescribed hearing aids but then is that a case of fooling the Audiologist - not pressing the button to gain a poor outcome - or maybe they are just Ebay specials that look like aids but in fact they are dummies made to look like the real thing?0 -

It's not my choice, it's my judgement. And I believe the evidence supports my judgement.:)0 -

So what you're telling us is that, not only do you tell lies on here, you also lie to medical professionals?

Type one diabetics who have problems with glucose levels and insulin calculations are given pumps, which do the work for them.0
