Income insurance for pre existing conditions

Hi there
My partner is a self employed Electrician with an apprentice on his books.
He has a pre existing disc problem with his back and every now and again he is in severe pain and unable to move, let alone work.
Does anyone know of any income support insurers who will allow cover for pre existing medical conditions?

Extremely unlikely and if there was the cost would be astronomical.

Much the same as travel insurance and pre existing conditions.

The risk is assessed and the premium is calculated.

I managed to get a quote for travel to France. Only one company was prepared to quote for all pre existing conditions - £1675 single trip of 5 days to Normandy.
Same goes for income replacement insurance.
