has anyone ever heard of it.

I came across it when I too was looking for a cat sitter but I found the web site a bit fiddly to understand, from what I recall you have to put in your requirements and it will bring up suitable people. I found Home Loving Cats easier to understand, it shows straight away if there is a sitter in your area and you can make contact direct, there is even a photo of the person! However in the end I used neither as I found someone through my vets, it might be worth your while trying there first, as they may know of someone locally.
