PVA or wallpaper paste?

My daughter has a Kura bed from Ikea (lots of pics on google). It has board panels which look pretty tatty. I am going to cover the panels with wallpaper but don't know what would be best to stick them on with. PVA, wallpaper paste or something else?

Personally I would use a 50/50 PVA/water to seal the panels then use a fair {Solvite} wallpaper paste to paper them. That way the panels are sealed and it should both look better and last longer:)0 -
It might be worth looking at some of the PVC self adhesive rolls that Wilko sells which are meant for kitchens. They would be easier to maintain and would probably last longer than wallpaper. If you pick a suitable colour and style then they might look better.0

I would use wallpaper paste.

The stuff I saw @Wilko is 2m long so might not be long enough.
There are lots of designs in this type of stuff so you might find something which appeals and fits the decor.

eBay sells lots of similar stuff but those can be purchased in longer lengths which might be more useful.

Thanks all for the replies. I am going to go with wallpaper paste. We have already bought the paper - one roll at £2.40 will cover all the panels so if I change it in a year or two no problem.0

Wasp paper paste is made from potatoe starch, it needs a porous surface to allow it to adhere to the substrate. I would either use ready mixed wallpaper paste or 50/50 water and pva.0

In the end I used PVA as there was some in the cupboard. It doesn't have the slide of wallpaper paste and I was concerned that I was getting a lot of bubbling. However the next morning the bubbles had disappeared and my little girl is very pleased so all in all successful. A tatty bed looking good again for less than £3 - very money saving I think.0
