Put it down to experience and forget about it, there's no damage so no accident and nothing to report.0

Not much point doing anything. Police are not going to care, and your insurance might note it as an accident and bump next years price up.0

Looking for some advice
I'm a new driver. I was out today, waiting for a gap at a roundabout I somehow put my car into reverse, took off my handbrake to put out and rolled into the car behind that was about an inch behind me. I realised my mistake pulled forward and pulled in, put my hazards on and stopped. The man in the car behind got out. Looked at his car and mine. Opened my passenger door and said there was no damage and he was ok. I said ok. He then got back in his car and drove off. While I sat there for a minute. We didn't swap details. I think he was driving an astra. I was shocked but he'd already gone before I even thought about it. There's not a mark on my car. But i feel awful.
Do I need to report it my insurance or police? If we took no details?
Take advice on here with a pinch of salt. Let's hope he's not got a dashcam and reports it to his insurance who will contact yours. Ask yourself is it worth the risk?0 -

Even if I'm the one that tapped his car? He stopped for the grand total of a minute, spoke to me. Got in his car and drove off0
