Unknown Natwest card showing on Credit File

Does anybody know how a credit card can show up on credit file - that was never applied for?
I have a Natwest card showing as, account start date 27/06/12 and ended 06/07/12.
The card was active for just over a week!
I have contacted Natwest Fraud Team and they say that the card was never used and can't see anything fraudulent.
I have disputed it via Noddle - and they say that Natwest is unable to do anything.

It's very strange as I have never heard anything from them. I only found out by checking my credit score. I wish to re-mortgage and this could affect my chances.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Through fraud or through error.

It won't be affecting any mortgage application.

Continue to pursue it via call Credit.

As there does not appear to be any adverse information recorded and the account will drop off in a year anyway, I would just ignore it.
