Hi All,

I work for a European company and I am paid from our companies main bank in the NL. Every transaction (salary, expenses) that arrives in my account has a fee charged to it by the bank.

I was wondering. Are there any banks out there that do not charge for receiving payments from overseas? I am overseas alot so being able to use my cards without charge would be nice too.

Probably wishful thinking. But thought I'd see what knowledge is out there!

If you open an account in the eurozone to receive your salary in euros (e.g. KBC in Rep of Ireland), the SEPA transfer costs nothing. You can then transfer to your UK GBP account by, for example, TransferWise (0.5% fee) or by Revolut (no fee), both at interbank exchange rates. You can use the euro bank debit card, Revolut, or other fee-free card such as Monzo or Loot for traveling.
